Nala bracing herself in the car on the way to Auntie Leanne's while mommy and daddy go on vacation for their 2 year anniversary!

There was a lot of fog as we got to the coast and on the bridges it looked we like we were driving up to heaven or something because we could see nothing but a few feet of road in front of us.

Our AMAZING place! Not picture here is the 4 star-3 course breakfast, continous snacks and drinks, jacuzzi bathtub, mini-theatre with 2,000 DVDs to choose from, and all right on the coast. Sweetness. (thank you off-season:) ).

All tied down on our sedan. Everyone else there had huge F250s and SUVs. We were a little out of place...us city folk

Our tree at home...not decorated quite yet. If you look really close you can see Panda's tail. They loved our tree, though they are usually scared of the tiniest new thing in our house. They love the outdoors...which I guess were just brought inside!

We had visitors to North Carolina! It was such a blessing to get to spend some of our summer days with great friends. We took them around the cool places and here are some pictures of our times together.

The huge cumulonimbus cloud over the airport. It looked like a mountain and was full of thunderstorm. Would they make it in?!

Yes! They made it in! Amy and me and the airport--no not a rave. :)

A dinner with the Cole's

Yes, another hot summer day in the South...but this evening would have a tasty dinner surprise.

To start off with an important fact: David loves BBQ. Being his wife I knew about this. So when I saw some neighbors moving out with a free sign on their old BBQ (charcoal et al included) I took the chance to make his day. Yesterday we got the chance to use it for the first time and thought we should document the occasion.

And Panda finally got brave enough to find some crumbs on the ground. Nala was only coaxed out awhile after the BBQ was over. Maybe next time she will join us...probably not ;).

Celebration with teachers

The last day at work was yesterday doing copious amounts of paperwork together. And we finished off the year at La Bambas. I will miss my fellow teachers so much and am forever greatful for their help with crazy kids, and laughs when I needed them. They are a great group of people.

Spring Break

Here are some photos of our spring break! :)

Driving down to Florida. What adventures do we have in store??

David so excited on our road trip. We had quite the time going down. We made an accidental detour that was so awesome. It was in the back country of South Carolina where we saw old Plantations, swamps, real country Southerners, and the whole bit. It was great. We also stopped for dinner in Savannah. It felt exactly like the New Orleans in Disneyland. We wondered if we were actually there!

Indian Rocks Beach, Fl--where we hung out--reading, napping, getting sunburned...I missed some spots with my sunblock and boy did I feel it!

At a manatee viewing center...I was very sad because there were no manatees. They all went where it is cooler for the summertime.

I found a manatee!...made of cement.

I ruled the Indi Speedway (just like Autopia in Disneyland...they are Nascar maniacs here, so "Speedway" it is!)

3-D movie! This was actually AWESOME. It was called Philharmagic and displayed all the great Disney songs that we so adore. I loved it.

Completely pooped. We were there from open to close! This was us watching the night light parade.

Yes!!! Once we got home from Florida we picked up our very own doggies!! This is them in the car on the way to their new home. Quite relaxed if you ask me. :)

Chilling out on our living room floor. The one in the front is Panda. She has more brown ears. Nala is behind her and has more black ears. They are sister Treeing Walker Hounds. We got them from Surry Animal Rescue.

That's our break! I am so thankful to God that he allowed us to have this rest toward the closing of my first year of teaching. He is very good to me, by his grace.

Okay, people are going to think I am obsessed, but David wasnt' satisfied with my blurry photos and he made a video of the tank. I admit it is more cool than my photos, so you can check it out if you don't use the phone line for internet ;).

So, since I put up pictures of our tank, I now have to show you that we gave it a make-over. We were not terribly happy with it, so we decided to put a little into it, and are enjoying it much more. Sorry they are a little blurry!
